PERENCANAAN SISTEM IRIGASI BERKELANJUTAN ALIRAN BENDUNGAN LAKUANG BURAI DAERAH NAGARI TAEH BUKIK KECAMATAN PAYAKUMBUH

Perencanaan sistem irigasi berkelanjutan merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung produktivitas pertanian serta menjaga keseimbangan pemanfaatan sumber daya air. Bendungan Lakuang Burai yang berada di Nagari Taeh Bukik, Kecamatan Payakumbuh, memiliki potensi sebagai sumber air irigasi bagi daerah pertanian di sekitarnya. Namun, pemanfaatan air tersebut memerlukan perencanaan yang tepat agar ketersediaan air dapat memenuhi kebutuhan irigasi secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan sistem irigasi berkelanjutan pada aliran Bendungan Lakuang Burai dengan menganalisis kesesuaian antara ketersediaan air dan kebutuhan air irigasi pada daerah irigasi seluas 140 ha. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi pengumpulan data hidrologi dan klimatologi, analisis debit andalan sungai, perhitungan kebutuhan air irigasi berdasarkan pola tanam, serta penyusunan neraca air. Selanjutnya, neraca air digunakan untuk mengevaluasi keseimbangan antara ketersediaan dan kebutuhan air pada setiap periode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa debit andalan Bendungan Lakuang Burai secara umum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan air irigasi pada sebagian besar periode tanam. Neraca air memperlihatkan bahwa dengan pengelolaan distribusi air yang baik, sistem irigasi yang direncanakan dapat berfungsi secara optimal dan berkelanjutan. Perencanaan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan air, mendukung keberlanjutan pertanian, serta menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan sistem irigasi di wilayah sejenis.
